Purpose and PhilosophyThe Children’s Station was created to provide physically, mentally or behaviorally challenged and developmentally disabled children an opportunity for a supportive program that encourages the acquisition, development and further enhancement of special skills, talents and the appreciation for music, arts, dancing, singing, musical-instrument-playing as well as gardening. The program will serve physically challenged children (deaf or blind), ambulatory, may or may not be medically involved children. They may have special physical or medical challenges that may interfere with their ability to function day to day in a less restrictive setting. Active programming will be conducted in the facility at 13547 Flatbush Ave., Norwalk. We provide support for each unique individual’s physical challenges and health care needs with emphasis on muscle and joint therapy and potential undeveloped artistic talents.
The children’s Station after school day care program’s main focus is to discover and expound the hidden talents of physically challenged and medically fragile children purpose while providing quality care and supervision. TCS after school day care program is a specialized structured program that assesses and determines each client’s staffing and consulting requirements. The parents or guardian will be asked to choose their child’s optional activity at the time of enrollment
